Sonic Air Nozzle and Nozzle Manifolds System Streamlines Carpet Production

Overview

Orian Rugs, a leading manufacturer of decorative area and scatter rugs, sought out a solution in their production process related to irregular thickness along the seam caused by over-laid carpet piles during sewing. This issue led to defective rugs, increased material waste, and the need for costly rework.

Solution

Orian Rugs implemented the Sonic Air Nozzle and Nozzle Manifolds System, powered by a Sonic Centrifugal Blower, to address these challenges. The system was designed to blow the carpet edges to one side, providing easy sewing access and eliminating the need for rework due to irregular thickness along the seam.

Result

Implementing the Sonic Air Nozzle and Nozzle Manifolds System significantly improved Orian Rugs' production process. The system effectively eliminated defects caused by irregular thickness along the seam, resulting in rugs with a smooth and even underside. As a result, material waste and rework costs were reduced, leading to enhanced productivity, improved product quality, and increased production efficiency.

Carpet manufacturers have also successfully installed Sonic centrifugal blower powered Air Knife Systems to generate high-velocity air squeegee effect on carpet products during manufacturing to achieve textile drying.
