Gas Duty Blowers and Vacuums

Portable and Stationary Gas Duty Blowers and Vacuums
Sonic provides engineering support for many gas applications
Sonic offers gas-tight cast aluminum explosion-proof blowers ideal for landfill gas (LFG) sites, soil vapor extraction (SVE) applications, and hydrocarbon vapor recovery. Sonic’s gas duty blowers are hermetically sealed and can handle airflow rates from 100 to 2,000 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) and create vacuums/pressures up to 4 psig.
These gas duty blowers are available with welded 150# flanges or hermetically sealed designs for the most critical gas containment applications. Sonic also provides various electric and hydraulic drives, with water-cooled options rated for gas temperatures up to 400°F (200°C).
Designed for the Work Volatile Gases Require
Sonic’s Centrifugal Gas Duty Blowers and Gas Vacuums are built for high-demand industrial environments where combustible gas handling is critical. Sonic blowers produce pressure and vacuum to safely transport or extract volatile gases in controlled processes. Common gas blower applications include environmental remediation, soil vapor extraction, soil vapor recovery, hydrocarbon vapor recovery, flare gas booster, biogas collection, and specialized degassing systems. Designed for precision and reliability, these gas blowers and vacuums support continuous performance in hazardous areas while reducing operational risks and increasing energy efficiency.
Precision airflow for high-risk industrial settings
- Thermal Management Capabilities: Optional water-cooled models allow for safe operation with gas temperatures reaching up to 400°F. Ideal for heat-sensitive or high-temperature gas processes.
- Flexible Mounting Configurations: Available in both pedestal and cart-mounted designs to adapt to fixed or mobile operations. Makes integration into existing systems fast and cost-effective.
- Gas-Tight Mechanical Design: Sealed internal pathways reduce leak potential and isolate external components from gas exposure. Especially beneficial in safety-regulated or emissions-sensitive industries.
- Reduces Equipment Downtime: With robust construction and fewer moving parts, these degassing systems stay operational longer between maintenance cycles. This saves time, lowers costs, and improves uptime.
- Simplifies Environmental Compliance: Supports vapor containment and recovery protocols, helping operators meet EPA and local air quality standards. Built-in flexibility supports evolving regulatory needs.
- Optimizes System Performance: Maintains stable airflow regardless of fluctuating pressure or gas density. Helps streamline operations and prevent energy waste.
