Rapid Oil Spill Response at Sea with Sonic Air Systems' Shipboard Blower Technology

Overview
Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC) was established as a response to the devastating Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989. Committed to protecting the U.S. coastline, MSRC sought a partner to provide essential equipment for oil spill emergencies.

Solution
Sonic Air Systems rose to the challenge and developed hydraulic-driven air blowers for MSRC's ships. These Sonic blowers generate 3 psig (pounds per square gauge) to rapidly inflate oil containment booms, ensuring efficient containment of spills.

Result
With nearly 100 Sonic blowers deployed across the fleet, these robust, lightweight systems have proven reliable for over 25 years, including during the massive cleanup efforts of the 2010 B.P. oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Sonic's contribution to coastal protection is a testament to their commitment to eco-stewardship and preserving natural resources.
